If you are reading this post, you have found the MABC South Sudan Trip – January 2013 team blog.  The posts below will provide you a glimpse into our trip.  Hopefully, you will get to hear from multiple members of the team over the 2 weeks we are in country.  Of course, that is all dependent on our ability to connect.

We will have one team in Yei and one in Terekeka.  Our efforts will consist of spending time with the kids at the orphanages, helping with construction of buildings, providing medical training, performing minor repairs or other handy man jobs, and doing whatever else is asked of us.  Our goal is to serve the workers and children of Harvester’s Orphanage at both locations.

Our team verse is 1 Peter 4:10.  This verse has served to remind us we have each been gifted by God in many ways.  Therefore, we should seek to serve others with our gifts.  They are not for our own edification, but they are to be used for the Glory of God in service to others.

1 Peter 4:10 (ESV)
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.
